Buckler Paints makes a range of Wood Coatings for interior and exterior applications, specially formulated to protect wooden surfaces while enhancing the natural grain of the wood. High performance wood finishes, durable and easy to apply, Buckler Paints Wood Coatings maximise the life of your wooden features and furnishings.
Sand down the surface of wood or old polished surface with rough sanding paper along the grains and wipe off the dust. Fill up the grains by Putty knife or by Muslin cloth with Timber Shield Transparent wood filler or synthetic wood filler and allow to dry for 2-3 hours. Sand the surface with 280 - 300 No. Emery Paper and spray 2 - 3 coats of Timber Shield sanding sealer. Allow to dry to 2 - 3 Hours and sand the surface with 400 No. Fine paper. Examine the surface for imperfection if any, touch up with Sealer and sand it as above. Again spray one coat of sanding sealer and make it smooth after sanding as above. Now the surface is ready for applying Timber Shield Polyurethane Finish. Timber Shield Nitrocellulose finish: Thin down with Buckler NC thinner, mix properly and spray. Second coat can be applied immediately. Timber Shield Melamine wood finishes: Mix Base and hardener in 9:1 ratio by volume. Apply 2-3 coats of Timber Shield Melamine wood finishes using Buckler All Seasons NC Thinner or Multi Purpose PU Thinner. After drying for 24 hours, sanding and Buffing will add to the beauty of glossy finish. Buffing is not necessary for Matt Finish. Timber Shield Polyurethane finish: Mix 90 parts of Base with 10 parts of Hardener or Mix 100 parts of Base with 50 parts of Hardener by volume keep the mixture for 15-20 minutes for maturation. Spray by using Buckler thinner consume the mixture in 4-6 hours.
